in Infrastructure

Join us for a presentation on the AGIC and the development of a rating scheme
for the Infrastructure sector in Australia.
The Australian Green Infrastructure Council (AGIC) was formed in July 2007 by a
collection of like-minded environmental professionals from industry, government
& consultants involved in the infrastructure sector.
AGIC is currently preparing the business case on the need, benefits & support
gathered to-date to develop a rating scheme for infrastructure.
AGIC Objectives:
• To be the catalyst for the delivery and operation of more sustainable
infrastructure in Australia;
• To drive market transformation through education, training, advocacy and by
recognising leading sustainable practice via a rating scheme.
AGIC invites individuals and organisations to participate and support
development of a national, independent, industry built benchmarking and award
scheme.

The speaker:
Simon Cavendish, Director, EnviroPartners seeks to deliver a more sustainable
environment. He has more than 35 years experience in environmental management
and engineering, including in infrastructure projects. For 10 years he was
Thiess (QNP)‘s Environmental Manager and before that a Principal Environment
Officer with Brisbane City Council . Simon has a keen interest in sustainability
and Climate Change, planning a Climate Change Boot Camp forum for SEQ in March.
He is EIANZ’s representative on the Interim Steering Group of AGIC as the
Business Case Manager.
